We all have those busy days, the ones when the age old question, “What's for dinner?” becomes a complete mystery. Search no more! Here is a quick, easy, and well balanced one pan dinner that will be a hit with the whole family.
This recipe is a simple combination of seared pork chops with tender fried apples that have been seasoned with rosemary and cinnamon. This combination is irresistibly tasty and can be thrown together in 30 minutes. Serve it up with rice or potatoes for a killer meal in no time flat.
1. Preheat oven to 400ºF.
2. Place a large, heavy skillet over medium-high heat. Season the pork chops with salt and pepper. Add the oil followed by the pork chops and cook until well seared on one side, about 5 minutes.
3. Flip the pork chops, then add the butter and stir until melted followed by the apples, onion, rosemary, and cinnamon. Stir the apples to combine, then transfer to the oven and roast until the pork chops are cooked through and the apples are tender, about 7 minutes, stirring the apples halfway through.
4. Transfer the pork chops to a plate to rest for 5 minutes, then serve.
