Angus Beef & Bacon Chili Cheeseburger


Ingredients

  • 1 lb Meyer Natural Angus Ground Beef
  • 1/2 cup Heinz chili sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp Chili powder
  • 1 pkg Meyer Heritage Duroc Bacon (Applewood or Hickory Smoked, cooked to desired doneness and cut into pieces)
  • 4 tbsp Thousand island dressing
  • 4 slices Muenster cheese
  • Shredded lettuce and chopped tomato for garnish
  • Extra chili powder for garnish
  • 4 Sweet Hawaiian hamburger buns

Preparation

There’s just enough bacon here to satisfy the “bacon-makes-everything-great” craving. The combination of Meyer Natural Angus ground beef, Meyer Heritage Duroc Pork bacon, chili and sweet Hawaiian buns is the perfect storm of flavors that will have you going back to this recipe many, many times!

 

1. Heat grill to medium high. Mix beef with chili sauce and chili powder. Shape into 4 burgers and cook to desired degree of doneness.

2. While burgers cook, stir bacon into dressing.

3. When burgers are almost done, top each burger with cheese slice.

4. To serve, top each burger with shredded lettuce, 1 heaping tablespoon of the bacon dressing, some chopped tomato and a sprinkle of chili powder.
